ArnoldO LÓPEZ Marmolejo
I wish to serve on the board of directors of our solid and important Credit Union to contribute to ensuring its excellent functioning and to offer more and better products to all its members. The member must be at the center of all decisions both those residing in the United States and abroad. As a member, I am aware of the needs of residents in the United States and the rest of the countries in the region, having worked in different country offices and headquarters and been a member for ten years. As a professional, I am well acquainted with the financial sector, having held various positions in banking and economic analysis at BBVA and the Presidency of the Association of Banks of Mexico, including being responsible for the financial markets analysis unit at BBVA. Additionally, I worked as a financial specialist on banking regulation issues at Mexico’s central bank. At the IDB, I conduct economic analysis, including financial inclusion. I hold bachelor’s degrees in economics and law from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Additionally, I have conducted doctoral stays at the Universities of Pennsylvania and Minnesota. If you elect me, I will seek the best conditions for you in the products of our Credit Union and expand the range of products for residents in both the United States and the rest of the countries.

Since 2021, I have had the honor of serving as a Board Member. Serving on the board has been a rewarding experience, and I am committed to continuing my efforts to contribute positively to our Credit Union’s growth and success. My family and I have appreciated being able to depend on the IDB Global Federal Credit Union for our banking needs for over 30 years. The financial industry has been rapidly changing, and the Credit Union along with it. Launching new products and services while reducing costs and increasing returns is important for all of us. Over the past ten years I have volunteered as a member of the Credit Union Supervisory Committee and the last three years on the Board of Directors supporting and assisting the well-run Credit Union that is innovating while balancing risk and rewards. I believe the skills and experience developed over my 30+ year career in banking cybersecurity risk management and information technology will be benefit our Credit Union’s continued security stability and growth. I graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master of Engineering Management from George Washington University. In my career at the IDB, I have worked in the information technology and finance departments and hold PMP, CISA CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, and CDPSE professional certificates.

As a member of the Credit Union since 2004, I have enjoyed and benefited from the excellent services it extends to its members. In addition, over the last two years, I have had the pleasure of working closely with the Credit Union as Treasurer of the IDB Retirees’ Association, from where I have experienced first-hand the scope of its services from a corporate perspective. In both cases, I have continued to be very impressed by the Credit Union’s commitment to providing outstanding client service and innovative financial products to its members. For this reason, it would be an honor to run for a position on the Board of the IDB Global Federal Credit Union. I believe my 17 years of work experience at the IDB in the Finance Department as Head of the Treasury Client Solutions Group, where I developed and implemented innovative financial solutions for the governments in the region, would bring a new perspective and depth of experience on financial services and best risk management practices, complementing well the existing talent at the Board to ensure the Credit Union continues to advance on its quest to innovate and maintain its excellence as a financial service provider.

I would be honored to continue serving as a member of the IDB Global Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors with enthusiasm and dedication and provide my experience in the economic and financial fields. I have been working at the IDB Group for 20 years, first at IDB Lab and currently at IDB Invest. I've had the opportunity of working in both a country office and headquarters, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the varied needs of Credit Union. I hold a degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on finance and innovation. If elected, I will focus on ensuring that the services provided by our Credit Union meet the highest service standards and enhance the current offering of financial products, ensuring they align with the evolving needs of our members while preserving and strengthening the Credit Union's robust financial position.
Maria Eugenia Roca
I am a Certified Public Accountant graduate from the University of Economic Sciences, B.S., A.S., Argentina, with an MBA degree and a Postgraduate in Corporate Finance from the Pontific Catholic University of Argentina. I have been working for the IDB for the last 20 years in different departments. I have experience in strategic business planning, corporate reporting, budget, audits, operational and risk management, public procurement, and strategic dialogue with stakeholders. Currently I am the Chief of Operations in the Bahamas Country Office Field (COF). I have also worked in HQ, as well as the Argentina and Paraguay COFs. Prior to joining the IDB, I worked for United Nations for Development Program (UNDP) in the public sector and private sector. I want to join the IDB Global Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors because I believe that my experience in the field and in HQ has not only helped me to better understand the Bank’s strengths and areas for improvement but also the financial needs of its staff and their families. I trust that this experience is essential to be able to make a relevant contribution to the work of the Credit Union. The Credit Union Board needs to be forefront of thinking in policies to improve the overall financial products and, in this sense, put forward innovative proposals. To conclude, I believe I can contribute with a constructive dialogue with the key stakeholders regarding financial strategies to develop a better framework to allow the Bank’s staff, regardless of where they are located, to have access to the same financial products, increase the use of technology and expand the financial products.
